Princess | Appearances | Gallery |
Princess is a recurring character in Harvey Beaks. She seems to like crystals like her father, and seems to enjoy him spoiling her like always. She also wields a pink wand that seems to be able to get tired and utilize magic as heard from Princess herself in the episode "The Finger".
Appearance[]
Princess is a small and chubby brown owl. She wears a dress made of flower petals and wears a pink tiara on her head. She also has small yellow legs with two toes on each.
Personality[]
She is spoiled, obnoxious, and self-centered. She also appears to be rather unintelligent, as revealed in many episodes. Her selfishness is a big part of her character, and serves as a driving force for the conflict in episodes where she makes an appearance.
Relationships[]
Harvey Beaks[]
Harvey is one of the few people that Princess seems to not actively dislike and one of the few that she seems to genuinely view as a friend rather than a punching bag.
Their relationship is not entirely positive though, since we do see Princess being her usual rude self towards Harvey for most of the series. And even Harvey himself is often frustrated by how nasty Princess acts towards his other friends.
Fee[]
Princess doesn't like Fee very much, and vice versa. Fee views Princess as an annoying bully and often gets In fights and arguments with her because of her attitude. They do (on very rare occasions) put their differences aside for the greater good and even end up having friendly moments with eachother. She has a "frenemies" type relationship with Fee, similar to the one that Fee has with Dade.
Foo[]
Princess is seemingly indifferent towards Foo since we barely see them hang out with eachother outside of one of Harvey's group adventures. However, In "Buds Before Studs", after Princess learns of Claire's crush on Foo, she decides to claim Foo as her "new boyfriend". It is clear throughout the events of the episode that Princess decided to become Foo's girlfriend simply to spite Claire rather than genuinely wanting a relationship with him.
Claire[]
Princess seems to have an odd and undeserving dislike of Claire throughout the series. She is often seen bullying her and gossiping about her to everyone she meets. This dislike of Claire in particular is implied to just be a side effect of Princess' superiority complex and jelousy of Claire's many genuine talents.
This is shown mainly in episodes like Princess is Better Than You, where Princess uses the "Best Kid Competition" as an opportunity to beat Claire at everything and make her feel less special, or Buds Before Studs where Princess claims Foo as her boyfriend just because she learned Claire had a crush on him.
Doctor Roberts[]
Doctor Roberts loves his daughter very much (some might even say a little too much). Princess' self centered personality seems to be a direct result of Doctor Roberts' constant and excessive pampering. Doctor Roberts loves giving Princess opportunities to be the center of attention and show off her verious "talents". We see this in episodes such as Rockbark Rocks where he hijacks the stage at the Lunar Moth concert just to have Princess beatbox, or in the episode Princess is Better Than You where he organizes an entire competition just to prove that his daughter is "objectively" the best child in the entire town.
Despite being a pampering father, Doctor Roberts is also shown to be quite neglectful of Princess on ocassion. The main example of this is when we learn that he forbids Princess from having normal toys because he thinks it's bad for her aura, so he instead makes her play with crystals with wigs as a stand-in for dolls. The entirety of Princess Harvey even focuses on this aspect of their relationship and tackles Princess' struggle and frustration with her father neglecting her to spend more time with his crystal collection.
Dade[]
Princess and Dade don't interact much throughout the entire show. The exception being the episode "On the Fence", where the plot focuses entirely on their democratic feud for whether the fence Harvey found should be painted yellow or pink.
Trivia[]
- Princess is the first female character to be voiced by a male actor.
- In The Punishment, there are two things revaled about her:
- She doesn't know what "punishment" means.
- She refers to the others as "mere mortals".
- Princess has quite a few parallels to Lumpy Space Princess, from Adventure Time. Both are loud, obnoxious, selfish, narcissistic. And both have deep male voices (That sound very similar in fact, though Princess tends to be much louder in general) despite being young females. Though the major difference is that while both are spoiled brats, Lumpy Space Princess is a teenage drama queen and does genuinely care about her friends but has a hard time showing it.
- Princess is shown to have excellent endurance, as shown in "The Spitting Tree" she falls of a very high branch, hitting every other branch on the way down, only to fall asleep when she hits the ground. (Not unconscious like everyone assumed, but literally took a nap) also further shown in "Princess is better than you" that she is very strong and agile when she wants to, to the point where the entire gang is grabbing her to prevent her from winning the sack race yet she still manages to stay ahead of Claire, and only lost because she had a change of heart, and let Claire win on purpose.
- It's very unclear if Princess is her actual name or just a nickname based on the fact that she acts spoiled and entitled.
